About Pernille:
I have a BA in History of Ideas from Aarhus University, and I have studied International Relations in Ankara, Turkey. I am currently working as volunteer network-coordinator at Kvindemuseets Kulturmøder (Cultural Meetings of The Womens Museum ), a mentor-network for refugees and immigrants, and as an introductory speaker for Amnesty International Denmark.

Outline of workshop:
Eritrea is one of the biggest refugee producing countries in the world, with 5000 refugees escaping every month. With little media coverage of this tiny country in the Horn of Africa, it is not known to the wider world why Eritreans are the third biggest group of refugees crossing the Mediterranean. I will therefore in the following presentation ‘Eritrea: A revolution betrayed’ give an introduction the country’s history, culture and the reasons why Eritreans are compelled to escape their homeland.

The workshop is part of the Peace Conference in Tvind 2016.
